Ho Hum

Well, here I am. Ghost town again. And, isn't it typical - I'm having a few problems. It all seemed to be going so well at first. One of the tech guys is actually here and he sucessfully installed the modem on the new computer I'll be using in about 15mins. So I got the first app that I had loads of problems with last time up and running in about 3/4 of a hour. Smooth I thought. I'll just bung LPRS on and be out of here by 1pm. After all, that was the easy one last time. Famous last words! I installed the software and attempted to connect to the test server. And was refused. Hmmm I thought. So I fired up the PC I'd installed it on before and lo and behold, that one won't connect either! So I've spent ages sitting around here waiting for various people from the helpdesk to call me back. Which is good in that I've got quite a bit of stuff done on the new layout but not so good in that I was hoping to get away from here at a reasonable time. And there's no milk which means that I can't have tea and am stuck with coffee. Grrr.

And I have yet to find a single bin in this building except for confidential waste bins. Isn't that odd?

Yup. They decided that the stuff I installed before should be on a different PC so I've had to come back and do it again :(
