5.00pm - Bought new top (white with patterns, Sainsbury's, very nice) and trousers.

5.45pm - Get home, put on new top and trousers for the evening.

6.00pm - Guides meeting. Wine and crisps, so far so good.

7.45pm - Over to Ian and Ruth's to watch Mysterious Cities of Gold (aaaah, ah ah ah ah, some day we will find...)

8.00pm - Pizza ordered, wine poured

8.20pm - Drip wine on new top

8.30pm - Pizza arrives

8.45pm - drop piece of pizza on my new trousers.

It's basically a 50/50 shot whenever I put on new clothes whether or not I will destroy them. If I don't hurt them the first time I wear them chances are they're good for the long run, but that first wearing is really touch and go. Sounds like you fell to the new clothes curse :(
