St Hildas to admit men. I'm not sure how I feel about this actually. I did come away from the college feeling that an all-womens college did have a part to play as part of an overall mixed university. I certainly knew some people for whom the idea was the safety net which allowed their families to feel comfortable about letting them go to a university. In practice it wasn't very restrictive at all (plus fun during firedrills :D) and there was a really good atmosphere in the college. I hope that at least won't change.

Yeah. I get the impression that it's mostly the money. St Hilda's doesn't get money from the university towards it's academic staff because the university is an equal opps employer so we have to pay twice as much per person and we just can't afford it.
