Gosh, client meetings are scary. I prefer programming - it makes much more sense and when you finish for the day you know that you're further forward than when you started. Much to be said for it say I.
Whenever I view your entries, the mood icons, such as http://img.livejournal.com/mood/nolegs/tired.gif above, don't load. Instead my browser (Mozilla 1.0, but I get the same with IE6, pthpht) sits there "sending request to img.livejournal.com" - for hours if I leave it running. This isn't too bad, because I can still see the text, but it does make it difficult to tell when a page reload is complete.
It's odd, because other peoples' mood icons, such as http://www.livejournal.com/img/mood/classic/confused.gif, seem to work fine. What's with "nolegs" (and img.lj.com vs www.lj.com) that they can't load? (Actually, I do have "thoughtful" in my cache, so it must have worked once.)
That's extremely odd because as far as I'm aware img.livejournal and www.livejournal/img point to the same place! Those icons are ones used in the official nolegs theme. The only thing I can think of is that they might have stopped the img.livejournal name recently and my DNS has cached it (I don't remember that as being hugely likely but it is possible I suppose).
I've changed this one to use www.livejournal/img - can you see it now? Also, can you see the img.livejournal one when you click on the link?
I tried again from work (ac.uk rather ntl broadband) and got rather more mixed results. A few more of the images on img.livejournal.com loaded after a few minutes, but still not all. Maybe they're in our site web cache (perhaps from a previous time I'd accessed them - of course only in test, as I'd never ever blog from work :-) . They don't reload after a Shift-Reload, which is supposed to force the cache to refresh.
Maybe img.livejournal.com is just down, or not accepting requests from non-paid members like me (leeches that we are).
Sometimes when I'm entering the image data myself (so that I can use ones not on the LJ mood list) I mistype and don't notice straight away so it could be that too.
Hmmm. Perhaps livejournal/img forwards to img.livejournal then - they both seem to have exactly the same content on which is why I assumed they were the same. If img.livejournal is unreliable though, it probably makes sense for me to switch my mood over to linking to livejournal/img - I'll try and sort it out after caption.
Sorry for the techie question

so they're on different servers.
