I managed to leave my Visor on the bus on Sunday night. Not especially bright - I can only plead a long journey and a hot day. Fortunately it was handed in to lost property at the bus company. Unfortunately, I think it must have been dropped or slung around or something because it worked for all of about 10 secs. I put it on to hotsync and after getting halfway through it claimed to be out of batteries. I thought that was odd as I'd only replaced them a couple of days ago but I had done a lot of reading on it so I replaced the batteries and tried again. At which point it gave me the "Palm Computing" splash screen, then refused to turn off. Blast and buggeration say I. Fortunately I won't lose any data - or at least I don't *think* I will. Also with any luck the insurance will replace it (so possibly I could even upgrade - any recommendations?). But I feel lost - how can I know what I'm supposed to do or where I'm supposed to go if it doesn't tell me? What will I read while I wait for Alex to be late for things? How will I remember my shopping list?

Eep!

Good god, the horror. I'd go mad without mine. As for updgrades, I don't think anyone's topped the Visor Pro as far as I'm concerned. It's what I'm getting when I get round to replacing my Platinum.

That (Pro) does look nice... maybe I'll treat myself since I'm not going on holiday this year. I just hope the insurance doesn't take too long (last time they insisted on sending me Dixons vouchers) as otherwise I'll have to start carrying my laptop everywhere!

This is why I stick to pen & paper...

Jo, did you get my email about the Ladyfest quilt?

Yes (re:email) - I'm going over to the Union today so I thought I'd have a quick look for good display locations. Any idea of size?

Hard to say - I only saw the first batch of pieces. I'll ring Ros tonight & let you know by tomorrow, hopefully. I imagine it won't be more than about 6ft by 6ft, if that. I thought maybe we could hang it up in the top of the building where we have the auction stuff on display? Or, perhaps in the ground floor corridor. I dunno.
