Apologies to those of you who aren't livejournalers but read this - I have started marking quite a lot of posts "oxford friends only" in order to keep them out of the work domain. A side-effect of this is that my journal appears a lot more boring to you now. Let me know if you want an LJ - I can issue 1 invitation code a week I think and more when I finally get my paid account sorted - and I'll sort you out.

Ah yes, but what about those of us who *are* livejournallers, but aren't from Oxford, or even anywhere else on the M40 :)

Ah well, I don't see you so you never get the chance to complain properly :)

This is just an insidious plot to get people dragged into Livejournal. Do you get to progress to the next cultic level if you get enough people as "friends"? I won't join Livejournal, so I'll just have to miss out on the more interesting aspects of your life.

Nope sorry - I just want to bitch about work without putting zoo_music_girl in a tricky position if she reads it. Although I can think of some people who's journals would be interesting :) I guess I'll just have to have converstations with you instead - bah :)

Thanks, much appreciated! I do still pop in from time to time!

I can put you back on my friends list now! :)

Always happy to help :) I hadn't really thought it thorough til you mentioned it.

I can issue 1 invitation code a week

Afraid not. From the 'Invite a Friend' page:

* If you have a recently created account, then you are entitled to generate 1 code after you've had the account for a week.

* Every month of paid time generates 1 code. For example, If you pay for 1 year, you will receive all 12 codes once your payment has been confirmed. This also works for all of the paid time you have received in the past. (Receiving paid time as a gift also has the same benefit. Paying for someone else's LiveJournal does not give you account creation codes.)

So you've only got one code to give until you get a paid account. I've got one available to a good home if you need it though. :)

Bum. Either I misread it or they've changed it since I looked :( Still, when I have finally sorted out PayPal I'll be getting a paid account - after all, I use it enough :)
