1. Is Bubbles your favourite Powerpuff Girl? Surely you acknowledge the superiority of Buttercup!
Noooo, Bubbles is bestest! Bubbles wins fights with hugs, not fists :) I'm not sure you could definitely describe me as having a favourite, to be honest (there are almost no categories that I have favourites in), but if I had to pick one, it would be Bubbles. She could be described as most like me - she definitely exhibits certain of the strongest elements of my personality (hugggggs!) although I do also have certain Blossom like bits to me.
2. Do you think the BMI is an accurate reflection of correct weight/height ratio?
I'm never sure about this. On the one hand, I'm very suspicious of it because it seems so low. On the other hand, it's been around for a long time and there aren't loads of scientists out there saying oh, but that's rubbish. So the peer review verdict seems to be in favour. I guess I cautiously accept it, while reminding myself that to be underweight can be just as damaging to your health as to be overweight so don't aim for the bottom of the healthy range.
3. Summer or Winter?
SUMMER! SUMMER! SUMMER! SUMMER! SUMMER! SUMMER! SUMMER! SUMMER! SUMMER! SUMMER! SUMMER! SUMMER!
It's warm, it's light for ages, it's full of beautiful smells and sights and colours and I can show of my flesh in little dresses and strappy tops. I don't have to carry rain trousers with me everywhere I go. I can enjoy my garden while Cassie chases (and fails to catch) butterflies. Basically, I find being too cold much more dehabilitating than being too warm and hence Summer.
4. What AIM screenname did you use in the end?
I still haven't picked one! I just don't seem to be able to get past my strong identity thing. All suggestions gratefully received.
5. Read any good books lately?
Oh yeah! The Dragon Waiting by John M Ford (alternate history/fantasy) was very enjoyable. I got a little distracted by the fact that I know a lot about the period and so I need to read it again to straighten out the story for myself but it was a very enjoyable read. Inventing Elliot by Graham Gardner was one I picked up on 3 for 2 in Borders teenage department which was excellent; very disturbing, but excellent. It's about a boy who moves to a new school after having been bullied really badly at the old one. Lucas by Kevin Brooks (another book from the same offer) was also pretty damn good. About an island communities reaction to a strange outsider, from the perspective of a 16 year old girl - quite dramatic and frightening. Those are the most recent (i.e. the one's I haven't written up yet) - other than that, you can check here for details of stuff I've read.
This meme seems to be resurfacing, so yeah, if you want questions, comment.
