Well, after a wasted holiday and 2 days of waiting for it to be delivered to work, it turns out that Zen aren't going to be able to deliver my router after all - there's a problem with the chipset apparently. They said I could either have the next model up for the same price, delivery tomorrow or cancel. I decided that I was fed up and cycled over to PC world to pick one up (cheaper too) and cancelled the other one. So now I can get it all set up tonight - Alex and I managed to get bargin wireless PCMCIA cards at the weekend so we're all ready to go :) I'm planning to make a complaint to Zen though - at the very least I want some free days to compensate for not being able to use my conection until this evening.

What kind of router have you got yourself? and what was the good deal on wireless PCMCIA card? ...just that it does seem that in not too distant a future I will be able to upgrade my computer to a computer, and at that point it would be nice to convert my OneTel broadband into wireless...

The router is a D-link wireless ADSL router (http://www.dlink.co.uk/dsl-604plus.htm) - the configuration isn't too bad, although I don't love the web interface. Still, I'm getting there. It also acts as an ADSL modem, so if you've already got one of those, you can get a cheaper piece of kit to plug into your modem and take it from there. The wireless PCMCIA card is a Binatone broadband (http://www.binatonebroadband.com/Products.asp?Pnav=Products&Snav=2&catalogID=4) card which is on special offer - only £19.99, which is really cheap - most cards are about £45-50. I've never heard of them before, but the cards seem to work fine - neither of us had any trouble installing them.
