Well, desk move completed. I have successfully found my new desk, eaten in the restaurant (soss and mash - couldn't resist) and got my desk sorted out - to a certain extent. For some reason typing is making my right arm ache which is odd but I guess I'll work it out eventually. The office itself is OK but a bit full really. It means we're not going to be able to recruit for a while which is a pain for my bosses. The worst thing about it is that there is significantly less legroom here than at Wood Street. I've extended mine a bit by sliding the gate back which was hiding my PC but it's still not perfect. Still, its only temporary apparently so I guess it'll be OK. This used to be a traders area (I think) and so there are screens up showing news (silent) and stock prices and things all the time which is quite cool - I wonder if you can get cartoon network on them :) The best bit is that if you nip through the door and down into the traders area theres a coffee bar where you can make your own proper tea and things - they even provide tea bags! They also have free fresh fruit in the mornings so I'll probably start having that for breakfast. I must pick a lunchtime to do a bit of an explore of the local area - theres a new Marks open nearby as well as Leadenhall Market to check out so maybe I can even get some Christmas shopping done :)
Oh, and in other news, my deposit has arrived back in my bank account! Yay! Now even my bank manager will like me!
