I seem to have been infected with an emailing virus on my laptop (klez.H) which I noticed this morning because it tried to email loads of the people who send me junk mail and got bounce messages back. Despite my usual care with Outlook, this one seems to have slipped through the net. I've updated my anti-virus software and am removing the bugger now, but if you've received email from me in the past month, you should probably do the same - apologies!

Honestly, you would think I would know better, wouldn't you. When we switched anti-virus companies at work I didn't get round to installing the new one on my laptop and just let the definition file on the old one get out of date. That'll teach me.

Did you get an email I sent to caption2003 about possible uses of the auction money? I sent it while I was in Norway and have had no replies. I know Jrmy received it cos I spoke to her last night.

When I was systems manager for Hertford, I had about a billion people come to my room asking for help with the dissertations that Klez had just overwritten with strings of '0000000000'. I would never have realised just how easy it is to make a grown man cry until I had to do that.

Why are you using Outlook.
Use Mozilla as your Email collector.
Very few if any viruses get through with this one.
I use it myself!
