I spotted a henna tattooist when I was walking across Westminster Bridge on Friday and I was really tempted to get one done, despite my well known aversion to writing on my hand or anything like that. But, as usual, I couldn't decide what to get or where to get it. I'd like something in black only, small and pretty. Any suggestions? What would you get (or have got) ?

Don't do it at all unless you get an allergy test first. Many, many "henna tattoos" are not pure henna but often adulterated with organocarbon and/or mercury-based compounds which can lead to permanent scarring.

Try it at home with a kit first and see if you like it at all!

(I would get a small, simple, curly dragon-like emblem if I were that way inclined, but I trust my body as it is and don't need to modify it. Clothes are adequate for the whole body-decoration, self-expression, and modification thing, and they're so easy and transient and washable!) :-)
