Well, it's blowing an absolute gale out there. We went to see a friend this morning and had to take a couple of detours to avoid the trees blocking the road. And then we got back and I'd done all my packing and we were just having a bit of lunch before I went for the train when Mum said "I wonder if the trains will be delayed" and I thought "That's a point" so I gave Anglia a ring and there are no trains running. So here I am, unexpectedly, on Sunday afternoon sheltering from the weather and watching the trees in the garden bend alarmingly. My garden will be absolutely knee deep in leaves by the time I get back. I feel oddly restless - I had expected to be travelling back by now, expected to be on the move and my brain is still in that travelling mode, still feeling all efficient and moving inside. Tomorrow they'll be able to put on road services even if the trains aren't running again and for now it means that I get to snuggle down next to the open fire while the wind roars.
