More to do today. Did a bit of form design in VB.NET which seems fairly easy. I have a feeling that the hard bit will be to link it to the back end though - that's not ready yet so I can't fiddle with it. Then a rather frustrating time this afternoon fiddling with ASP.NET trying to create my worklog. Unfortunately, it's different enough from ASP that I don't really get it at all - it's very odd. What I really need is a book but I can't seem to see one here. I wonder if there's an O'Reilly for it yet (a quick google tells me that yes there is). I'm still loving just being here though. When I woke up this morning it felt like a weekend - Alex had stayed over, I wasn't in a rush to get up, I had time to shower, do my hair (rather than doing that the night before I hasten to add) and make sandwiches and I wasn't tired. It was no effort :) And I got to go out to lunch and wander round the Covered Market with Jez and Dez :)

I find that ASP.NET can be almost exactly like VB.NET (or C#, depending) -- drag and drop controls, double-click, write the code behind. Depends what you want to do with it, of course. By the way (in case you don't already know), beware of ASP.NET books that were written for Visual Studio.NET Beta 2; there were a few noticeable changes in the final release.
I seem to be in geek mode today... oh, well.
