Just when I think I'm used to the language differences, I start reading the journals of one of "you brits" (*grin*) and discover how much I don't know
I know exactly what you mean! I find that a lot when reading Americans journals - I think that the fact that the language *looks* the same lulls me into a false sense of security and so I'm taken by surprise when it doesn't quite make sense to me.
