Philosophizing

I have done one of those things I sometimes do in philosophy, I recall from the dim and distant past, which is to start off by feeling that I disagree with a philosopher's view, do some reading, do lots of thinking, come up with my own answer to the question being posed and come back to the original philosopher to discover that actually, we are in agreement over quite a lot of the subject and there are only a few assertions or uses of language to quibble with.

I haven't actually written the essay yet, no, but I feel that it may be imminent :)
