So I was going to go to school today to do some work, but there's something about looking out on another day when it's rainy and grey and bleuch that makes me want to curl up in the house and possibly light a fire. To be honest, I don't really need to do anything at school particularly. There's a bit of tidying up to do in my classroom but for me, not much and I have a pile of marking hours long here anyway so it's not like I can't work perfectly well where I am. Usually, I find the discipline of getting up and out motivating but I suspect I'll just faff around at school if I go in as much as I'm doing here.

I'm really cross the weather has turned back nasty again - I really have got tired of it. I mean if it was going to only be nice for a few days then thank god it included the day I had to take a bunch of children to France but still, I resent the fact that I'm not getting to sit around and enjoy at least some sunshine this half term. Yes, I know, poor me, but hey, I'm irrational that way.

I am slightly mystified by the fact that I seem to have got back into film as a medium since watching Avengers. I've watched and liked Thor and Captain America, watched and loved both Iron Man films and re-watched and enjoyed Independence Day and the Lion King. That's more than I've managed in all of 2011, I think. I'm actually curious about Snow White and the Huntsman - anyone fancy it?

I just think it's awesome when you can work in a job and say "the day I had to take a bunch of children to France" :D

We tried to see Snow White but the line was so long and it was so hot outside (too hot to wait outside to see a movie) that we ended up seeing another movie instead. I still want to see it, though!

You just named a whole bunch of movies I really enjoy. I watch Independence Day shockingly often given how old it is... and Jurassic Park, too.

Jo, I miss you!
