Wow, could Warner Brothers be more dumb?! I am actually angry enough about that to make some effort to boycott if it's true.

Could they be that dumb? I'd guess it's possible, but I wouldn't go rushing to join a boycott based on a tabloid gossip column. I had a look around and couldn't find anything significant on the story, just lots of appalled rants linking back to that one.

That's why I said if :) There were a few other stories from Hollywood based reporting sites on Google News but nothing definite enough that I'd actually act on it yet.

I seem to be effectively boycotting American films at the moment anyway, since every time I look for a film to watch the only things showing are "hilarious" comedies about a "misunderstood man child" doing something you'd rather not think about to this fortnight's supermodel.
