Unfortunately not :) Actually, the way it works is you have 16 letter tiles and you have to make words which then attack the baddies. Longer words do more damage and words with difficult letters do as well. Then the letters you've used get replaced, scrabble-like. It's really nifty and you spend ages fiddling around trying to see if you can get a slightly better word out of the tiles you've got.
