One of the reasons I mentioned low GI yesterday was because it sounded as though carbs were generally quite a big issue for you. Although I believe that one involves cutting out alcohol, too (partly because of the empty calories, I guess, but also because alcohol has such a huge effect on blood sugar - I know that if I have even a couple of glasses of wine in an evening I'll spend the next day desperately craving carbs).
