My gruntlement levels greatly increased with the arrival of my first sekrit bunneh parcel today - from Oxfam Unwrapped, which I still think is a really really cool idea. So now I have a desk and chair which will presumably be put to good use somewhere in the world next year. I hope whoever sits on them enjoys them.
I found myself wondering this morning what kind of person I would be if I hadn't got the chance for an education. I'm very aware of the shaping effect of the different stages of my schooling and I just find it impossible to think what I might have been like if I'd never got the chance to go to secondary school. Or even had to give up after age 7 or whatever. It's an odd thought.
