Granddad died early hours of this morning. Mum phoned me 9:30am ish to tell me. This is positively the last funeral I am going to this year.

Oh, gosh. It sounded like it was time, for him; I hope you all find his passing a mercy as well as a loss. From what you've written over the last few years it sounds like you'll have lots of good memories of him.
