The first time I heard the expression "See you on the flipside" was in "The FlipSide of Dominik Hynde" (or whatever it's called - I think that may be wrong) and it has slipped into my vocabulary but I get the impression that it may have been out there before Dominik, inspiring the title rather than the show creating the phrase. So where does it come from?

I can't find anything online to confirm, but I suspect that it refers to records - the 'flip side' being what we'd call the 'B side'...
