John Peel RIP

Only on Saturday, I was listening to David Stafford do Home Truths and thinking "What would they do if John was gone for good? No-one else quite has it." I feel genuinely sad in the way that I can't ever remember feeling about a public figure. Home Truths made John feel like a friend to me, in a way. Perhaps I'll email the programme - I expect next week will be nothing but tributes.
