New haircut, and I think it would be fair to say that it's pretty funky! I definitely enjoyed having it at lunchtime and seeing everyone's reactions when I got back - I was quite disappointed that Nick, my boss had gone home sick. Alex has got before and after photos on his phone so expect those shortly. Also, we're definitely buying a house! You can see photos of it here. It's going to be very fab.

Bah, pictures of the house but not the haircut?

Ha, that was my reaction too. I'm sure both are equally good. ;-)

Congratulations on the house! (I don't think much of the neatness of the current owners -- most people here try to put their best foot forward when preparing a house to be sold, so houses that are for sale usually look really neat and tidy in my experience!)

I look forward to seeing the haircut!

Congratulations! I know that the house purchase and the haircut have been Important Things (the former especially) for you for a long while. Well done. That Slacker may be losing his touch for slackness at this rate ;-))

For the haircut, I mean...?

Ah, but the hair photos are still on Alex's phone. You'll get to see them eventually...

It's tenanted currently, so I guess they weren't particularly interested in seeing a sale :)

Anne Veck in the end. They were really good. They stylist kept asking me if I was really sure before we got started though :)

I was going to ask this too.
Did they have any (ahem) "older" clients in? (i.e. people old enough to remember Old Labour in government LOL)?
I can see slacker is going to be v. unslack looking at the house photies, given that you'll be at Brownies or Oxfam all the time! Gosh I almost feel sorry for him. BWAH HAH HAH HA HAAAA.

I didn't notice many to be honest - too focused on the task in hand - but the lady sitting behind me was probably late 30s, I'd say.

I'm sure slacker will retain his slackness - I am a decorating fiend you know :)

Hair! Hair! Hair! ;-)

That house looks really nice!

I especially like the wood floors, all the light, and the conservatory.

With a little work on the garden, you could grow some lovely herbs ... maybe set up a hammock - great place for some sunshine and reading. :-)

Question though - does it have many odd corners, or does it maintain mostly useful space?

Like a previous correspondent, I notice that the current occupiers are not the most tidy of people, but you've got some nice original tiles in the kitchen, wooden floors in the conservatory and cork floor in the bathrooom (why do some people put carpet in bathrooms?!!)

Where is it? Oxford I assume? Near to your current place? And how jealous am I that you're getting 3 bedrooms?

Nice big garden I see, so I foresee you joining us ranks of tomato growers! Do you have plans for the shed, or could I make use of it - looks like it would make an ideal print room!

That's really cool.
The area around Campbell road seems pretty nice, and the park itself is really lovely. Congratulations. If you need a hand when you move(and or a car) then send us an email...

Thanks! Hopefully, we'll manage to sort it so we move over half-term when my parents can come over and help, but we'll have to see. I'm practically unbearably excited about it at the moment :)
