OK, at the suggestion of several people I have decided to create a caption community. Its at caption. It's an open membership community - anyone can join - but restricted posting access so I have to specifically give someone access before they can post to it. I've given access to all the Captioneers I can think of off hand (although you may still have to add yourself as a member - go to the user info page and click on the link). When we've done the first lot of publicity (soon, honest) I'll put it up, but otherwise, ideas and stuff are more than welcome.

If this is going to be official publicity, it ought to be done properly. Below is a corrected version, although there still remain stylistic issues about which I shall not quibble.

Well, here is the Caption community. So, "Who is Caption?" I hear you cry. Well, it's Oxford's annual small-press comics convention, held in the Oxford Union in August. There are panels, stalls, workshops, National Theatre of Earth Prime, big doodle pads in the bar, a nice garden to sit in and a nice cheap bar. Sounds perfect, you think, and you'd be right. Well, we like it anyway :)

I'm hoping that as well as putting up the various press releases and things here people can stick on any suggestions they have - the theme this year is Noir so get thinking.

Perhaps I should make you a moderator (I assume you can have more than one) then you could correc these things for me :) Although, thinking about it, I think the moderator can only delete, not edit posts which is as it should be. Anyway, duly corrected.

I hope that it won't be *just* the official publicity though - I thought it'd be a nice place to bat around ideas and stuff where the out-of-towners can hear.

Oh, no. It should absolutely not be either be only official publicity or the only official publicity. Nevertheless, it *is* now an official source of publicity, and as such should be properly presented. This is also why I did not post the comment directly there.
