A strange urge to confess has popped into my head over the last few days so I have decided to give in. Here it is...

I used to cheat at Masquerade!
For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about (i.e. most of you if I'm any judge) Masquerade is a board game incarnation of charades. Basically there are 3 tracks - blue, green and red - which spiral into the middle of the board. Red, as the inner, is the shortest but also has the hardest mimes. You can swap tracks at definite points along the board. As I remember it, when it's your turn you pick a card based on what track you are on then roll a dice to determine which of the 6 mimes on the card you must perform. And this is where the cheating comes in you see. Your opponents don't get to see the card - they've got to guess what you're doing - so I just used to roll the dice and then look at the card and select the easiest mime to do regardless of the roll. Bet you're all shocked now! If your opponents manage to guess what you've mimed you get to roll the dice again and move forward that number of spaces and they get to have a go. It's actually quite a fun game if you've got more than a couple of people but unfortunately has been lost (or maybe was lent to us - I can't remember now).

Well, that's got that out of my system.

shock! horror!

i hope you act with more restraint when playing cheap-arse games, young lady! Just been in touch with Jenni (who says she might be in Oxford for New Year. Yaaay!) and passed her on an invite code as she seemed interested. Spread the empire!
