So, just in time to encourage people to take advantage of the Blogger relaunch and a new version of WordPress Moveable Type have introduced a punative licensing system. Reading the trackbacks on that post reminds me of news posts like the one when LJ introduced posting limits.

I wonder if there'll ever be a mechanism for importing entries from systems like MT into LJ. As it is, we're not in a position to take advantages of muck ups like this by competitors because there's no way to migrate.

It probably wouldn't even be that hard to do, given MT and LiveJournal's back-end interfaces; if I didn't have a zillion other projects on, I'd attempt it.
