(no subject)

Well, I couldn't resist the prospect of doing a bit of Caption blogging while at the convention - after all, that's part of the fun of my magical new computer. And, I have to say that so far the new committee have done us proud! I was pretty dubious about the venue when I heard, thinking it was the best we could do in difficult circumstances but in fact, it's turned out really well. The main room is light and airy with lots of space for tables, chairs and chat. The bar is a bit close but still, nice enough and very cheap. As always, I've made it to very little of the programming but it seems like that's gone well from what people have said about them. And this year, it's generally been because I was relaxing and reading comics, not because I was rushing around or worrying about things. As always, I've managed to spend lots of money at the auction and now I'm just lounging around on day 2, chatting to Mark. And borrrowing someone else's wireless network every now and then :) Also, I've actually taken some decent photos so next step is to get them off the phone onto the computer and then I'm all set.
