Reviews

I got my email today saying that I'll be having my annual review in April. Which, as always, has sent me into something of a panic. Even though I know that I'm doing fine. I'm getting plenty of work done, I haven't been reprimanded for internet use or anything like that since before my last review. I've written a whole component of our product which a lot of the LAs have bought and are very excited about. There is no reason to suppose that my review will be anything other than positive. And yet, I'm really nervous about it. On the one hand, I hope it's pretty soon, on the other, if it's later we'll probably have completed the first install of the stuff I've been writing at the LA's so that'll be a better accomplishment to show off. I just have to remember that the chances of them saying "Yes, we've decided that we no longer need you to work here" are really vanishingly small and that reviews are a completely normal process. On the plus side, at least there's no self assesment form to fill out or 360 degree reviewing or other paperwork crap.

While I'm on the subject, I *still* haven't got my comms review back - two weeks and counting! I'm getting a bit frustrated as a screenie so I'm really hoping that I'll manage to get I1s out of it. I'm not sure if I will though. At this rate I'll have another review ready to submit before the first one comes back!
