Encoding

Anyone here know anything about ServerXMLHTTP? For some reason, my journal leaves LJ in UTF-8 but comes out of the .responseText property as Windows-1252. Which is annoying. I've fixed the charset declarations on my pages for now, but I'd really like to get the stuff out in UTF-8 format. Any suggestions?

Also, active reports web stuff sucks.
