Everyone loves a long weekend :) In my case, it gave me a chance to go to Bristol on Saturday and Sunday and then have another weekend to recover afterwards.
Comics 2002 not nearly as nice as last year. They'd moved it to a new venue which was still really really hot but also had no bar! And the nearest pub was closed! This is not a good idea for a convention. There was an overpriced coffee area and the talks rooms were really small as well (the one where we had the small press talk was absolutely packed - it was like a sauna by the end). It was more like a mart really, which is fine in a way but not really what was promised. I was also hampered by suddenly getting dreadful hay fever - typical huh! Anyway, by Sunday lunchtime I was ready to go and there wasn't that much on that afternoon so Alex and I headed back and I had a quiet night.
Monday was a day for lying around. Alex and I didn't even wake up until 12:30 when Jez and Dez popped round for a cup of tea before going for a look round the fair. I amused myself by lazing around watching the tennis until Jez and Dez returned and we played much Chez Geek and Dino Hunt.
Then on Tuesday I was soo organised. I went to B&Q and got a fuchsia, bedding plants and new wardrobe poles. I planted up my border and my trough and put up the new wardrobe poles. I cleaned the kitchen and hoovered and everything! I can't wait until I have my week off to be domestic :)
