What gets me is Windows XP going into hibernation mode when the battery is low...
1) Turns off the keyboard 2) Turns off the mouse 3) Informs applications that it is shutting down 3a) Windows Media Player warns you that shutting down now may mean the current tune/video may not restart from the same place on resuming and asks you to confirm the hibernation request. 4) Sits there waiting for you to impossibly respond until the battery goes completely flat or you flick the switch.
