I would like to read Harry Potter 5. Unfortunately, I am an obsessive person and so I cannot buy it in hardback. Partly this is because I very very rarely buy hardbacks, and only of books which I love very very much and want to cherish (like Winnie the Pooh or my atlas or dictionary of quotations). And partly because all my other Potter books are in paperback and I just *can't* buy non matching ones, OK. So is there anyone slightly less picky than me who's finished their hardback and would like to lend it to me? I promise I'll take care of it.

Just be thankful you didn't start Jon Courtenay Grimwood's Arabesque sequence only to find they've changed the cover designs half way through the series. Gah.

(A friend points out that if the Harry Potter books get any bigger, they're going to have to make them non-matching since they literally won't be able to make a hardback of the correct size (they're very short at the moment). Shouldn't be as much of a problem for the paperback, though.)

We're in the middle of converting the text to large print HTML for [livejournal.com profile] leora - you can have a copy of the files when they're done, probably 1-2 days from now.

I've finished mine and you could borrow it now, but I wasn't in town to come to the pub Tuesday, and you've got OUSFG on Wed I suppose. I could come round on Thursday if you haven't yet sorted another copy...
