Google! DayPop! This is my blogchalk: English, United Kingdom, Oxford, East Oxford, Jo, Female, 21-25!

I kind of like this as an idea - something about the mapping concept appeals to me - so I've given it a go.

Unfortunatly, there are a few technical reasons why this dosnt work.

the suspense is killing me....

...you can't just leave it like that! Why doesn't it work?

The most obvious one, is Meta Tags are ignored, because of unscrupilous use of them in the past.

Then there is that the words will be a very small part of your journal, and probably end up way back in the archives. This will give low precidence.

The third, and worst, is that Goggle and similar browsers asosiate words near links as applying to the page that is linked to. So people searching for this might get the Blogchalk as the result.

The third problem is entirely my fault - I added the link to the word blogchalk because I wanted to point people to the source, it wasn't in the stuff they gave me/suggested. I had forgotten about the association thing - I'd better move it to the title.

Problem 2: I wondered about putting it in a paragraph at the bottom of the page and setting it to be hidden by CSS. I might even get in touch with them and suggest that.

And Problem 1 is surely addressed by their amendment to the process (ie putting the text in as an entry as well as a metatag). Or isn't it? He (the blogChalk guy) seems to think so...

Forgot to say, I like the charmingly broken english on the blogchalk site -- if you look at the Portuguese version, it is considerably more literate.
