Hmm. Slightly more frustrating day with VB.NET - have got all the basics down (I think) but now am learning how to faff around with datagrids which is not quite as easy as I hoped but I *think* I'm getting the idea. Now I need a bit of a break though as my brain is full and needs a little time for digestion I think. Still, nearly the end of the day so I might head off after this. Still no sign of my computer :) I do actually find it slightly unsettling to be using someone elses box all the time. I think that the process of setting up my computer the way I like it is like my version of personalising my office space - I don't think I'll really feel quite settled in until I've got my box with my various little programs installed and my C&H background. Apart from that one little niggle though, things are going really well. We had a great time punting (and a *very* nice picnic) and everyone seems really nice. I'd almost forgotten what it was like not to have to force myself to do the work all the time - I'm actually interested in what I'm trying to do. It's a challenge and I guess that's what gets me going. I am the luckiest minou there is :)
Another nice quiet night watching Wimbledon tonight - I saw Agassi lose last night which was a really good match. I can't believe Sampras is out though! I didn't bother to watch that because I assumed it would be a walkover and I figured I'd catch up with Pete a bit later when he'd get stretched. Well, now I've missed my chance :( I'm tipping Phillipousis to come through that half of the draw now, which would give us another wild card in the final. Its Henman tonight which I find frustrating to watch sometimes because Tim plays really elegant grass court tennis which is great to watch but I get really annoyed by the way the crowd are so partisan. I've even heard a couple of cheers when his opponents serve double faults which to me is not what tennis is about. Grrr.
