You just don’t notice because they look vaguely the same—a mixture of 7s, 8s and 9s of red and black cards, but in fact, e.g., there is a seven of diamonds and spades in the first screen, and sevens of clubs and hearts in the second. All the stuff about memorizing your card is to distract you from memorizing the entire sequence—classic misdirection.
