*nod* we usually do WDW in late september to early october, since the food & wine festival usually starts the last weekend in september and their "free dining plan" promotion usually runs through to the last week in september. the trick is, as long as you CHECK IN on a day that the free dining promotion is good for, you get the free dining for your entire trip, so you can check in on the last day of free dining (as we're doing this round) and then F&W starts two or three days later.

not to mention, late sept is always beautiful weather (if you don't mind the daily rainstorm, but they usually blow over within like an hour so all you have to do is go find something to do inside for a bit, which is totally not a problem) and since it's just after school starts for the year, you've got a damn good chance of extremely low attendance: even people who'll take their kids out of school for a WDW vacation won't do it three or four weeks after school starts. it's definitely my favorite time of the year to go.
