Yay:-) I saw Caroline's reply to you on GUK and realised I should have pointed you in that direction.
The leadership qualification is all about showing you can do particular things so keep records eg. attending a district meeting covers a clause.
Hold a parents' meeting if you get the chance - you don't really want to do *all* the work yourself and for safety reasons you should aim to have more than one adult at meetings, so you probably want to set up a rota for parents to help.
The important thing to remember with Guide names is that Brownies and Rainbows are likely to shout 'Brown Owl' across the supermarket - so pick a name you're not going to mind being shouted at you like that - I'm Starling, though most of the Guides call me Karen. Also make sure the girls and their parents know what your real name is - particularly important when you get round to going to District events where there'll be lots of Brown Owls.
