Have taken first very tentative steps towards getting back into Brownies by joining the UK guiding mailing list (thanks ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
karen2205). Also, my first experiment with gmail (thanks cleanskies). Apparently I already have 6 invitations, which seems odd given that I thought they were given out based on usage levels, but there it is. Get 'em while they're hot. I'm not sure about the conversations stylee thing so far, but we'll see how it shapes up - I figure using it for lists is going give it an opportunity to shine.
My house is currently being invaded by enormous spiders, and I do mean vast. There was one scuttling around near the TV/radiator over the weekend which Alex took out for me, and then another this evening which came up over the arm of the sofa and scared me half to death. I am afraid I screeched on both occasions - weak and feeble woman that I am. Spiders normally don't bother me too much but these ones are nearly my size! I'm beginning to wonder if they stowed away in the bag of bubble-wrap I got from Jenni. It would fit with where they came out from.
My brain seems to be currently engaged in some sort of shutdown. It's just turned to cotton wool and I'm sitting here yawning a lot and trying to focus.

Date: September 7th, 2004 03:45 am (UTC)From:They might have stowed away in the bubbble wrap I suppose, but it seems unlikely -- I haven't seen any huge spiders in my new house, and I would have had the opportunity to do so while there was little for them to hide behind... if the bags had come directly from my old house then I would agree that they might have come from there.
