Sony headphones are good - I'd recommend them - even the cheapest that they do, and they very often come in a handy little case to keep them in ^_^
As regards paying, you can probably get Sony headphones from Argos, in which case, if you're registered for Nectar points you should be able to get quite a bit off them. In the past I've got a £120 Panasonic dvd player for 20 quid, and I've just had 20 quid off my new breadmaker - you just present your card at the till...
