I think you'll do consultancy well with a bit more experience. Good consultancy is like befriending within boundaries which are either clearly-defined from the outset or which are negotiated to some degree between client and consultant. As long as you and they are happy with your mutual expectations and keep checking on those boundaries as the project progresses then you needn't be stressed about it. Your client wants you to be there. The only pitfall is if they want you there so they can blame you later for something but those kinds of set-ups are very, very rare indeed so there's no need to be paranoid about it.
Your bosses wouldn't want you to do it if your skills weren't up to the job so at least *that's* out of the way! :-) Go, you!!
