tinyjo: (relaxing)
Well, once again, I'm kicking myself for not getting tickets booked sooner. My chance to see Bob Flowerdew slips between my fingers as the Gardeners Questiontime Garden Party sells out! Who would have thought it? My parents will have to content themselves with my garden; [livejournal.com profile] cleanskies, you're welcome to come for a look, although I presume the scalextrix party will hold more appeal.

I also utterly failed to do anything useful this weekend. Most unusually for me I was actually rather floored by the heat - generally I am quite well able to manage but, like my basil, I wilted so apologies to everyone hoping I was going to be useful this weekend (particularly [livejournal.com profile] jennielynn1127 - sorry Jen!). I'm torn between wishing it would be cooler and loving the feeling of sun on my skin at the moment. If only it could be just a little breazier, I could cope, I'm sure.

[livejournal.com profile] applez: Did you join in "the longest one-line joke in British history"? ;-)

Not only is the answer no but I hadn't even heard about it! It seems like another rather lame PR event, to be honest, despite the worthy cause.

[livejournal.com profile] sparkymark: Read Tim Vine's wikipedia entry: which of the jokes there do you find funny?

3, 6, 8 & 10 made me smile a little, the others left me cold.

[livejournal.com profile] shepline: How will I cope with two adorable, black kittens? ;-)

By moving everything breakable out of pouncing range!

Emptied of expectation. Relax.
