1) I've noticed that on your journal, it is next to impossible to find a link to your userinfo. Is this intentional or subliminal? If it's intentional, then why?

Not at all! I guess it's partly because my background is from personal websites and so on so it seemed completely natural to me to re-title it "About" because then I wouldn't have to maintain a separate about page. It never occured to me that it would have to effect of making it less obvious to most people where to find it. On the other hand, given the posts I've made about my coyness about my online identity, it's entirely possible that there is something subliminal going on there.

2) Are you actually tiny?

A tricky one :) In literal terms, I am short, at 5'3" and I am the shortest person in my family by a reasonable margin. In fact, I am shorter than most people I know but I will concede that there are probably plenty of people out there who are physically shorter than me. Tinyness is also a state of mind though, and one that I'm finding difficult to describe. There's a certain amount of getting your own way through a combination of cuteness and dictatorialness involved, a determination to look after/hug everyone and a need/desire to be hugged/taken care of in return. Hmmm. Can anyone put that better for me.

So, yes, I am tiny but tinyness is not just about hight

3) What's your favorite book of all time? Why? (I'm a reader and like to know these things...)

I'm wavering between the Lord of the Rings and the Sparrow at the moment. I'm always rubbish at choosing favourites.

The Lord Of The Rings is a book I've loved since we had it read to us as a bed time story when I was 7 and 8. I love the cadence and rythmn of the language of the book (I'm one of the few people who likes the poetry :) ) and the high heroism of the tale. I also love the fact that it doesn't stop when they've completed the quest but shows us a little bit of the post war reconstruction, something that is all too often brushed aside.

The Sparrow is a book I came across a few years ago on the recommendation of [livejournal.com profile] coalescent. It's... haunting. The characters are beautifully written and the interactions are amazing. It's a description of contact that I can completely believe in and be drawn into and it's a Greek tradgedy which leaves me close to tears at the end. It's a profoundly beautiful book.

4) Name something you've always wanted to do but didn't have time for.

Learn to dance perhaps. I used to do ballet when I was 8 the way all little girls did, but I gave it up after a while. I'm not sure I would have stuck at ballet but I would love to learn either modern or ballroom dancing but I never seem to find time to look for classes. I'm not sure whether I would be good at it - my balance and rhythmn are both good but my flexibility sucks - but I'd like to find out.

5) What movie could you watch over and over again and not get sick of?

Toss up between Clueless and Charlies Angels I think. I don't watch movies for the same reason I read books but generally because I want a mood boost. Both those are great fun and leave me feeling happier at the end of them. If I have to pick one, probably Charlies Angels because it's all about the pretty pictures in Charlies Angels.
