October 30th, 2002 10:52 amI was always rather put off slimfast by the fact that the milkshakes look so very artificial but I've recently discovered (in my search for wheat free lunchables) that they now do soups (and pasta as well, although not wheat free) and, further to my surprise, they're really rather nice! Who would have thought it. So I seem to have drifted onto the slimfast plan a bit by default as I tend not to have any breakfast (except for fruit) and I'm now having a soup for lunch and trying to have a not too big meal in the evening. I find myself highly cynical about the chances of it actually working but we'll see.
On the detox front, I've done my couple of wheat free weeks which didn't seem to make much difference. I did find some nice bread/sandwich alternatives thought which I'll probably keep using. The wheat free pasta really wasn't up to scratch though so I don't think I'll be having any more of that. I'm currently having hardly any tea (good), not having wine when on my own but back to normal consumption levels when out/with people round (OK), having hardly any dairy (good) and still cutting back on wheat (good, particularly because it means I have to think of more non-pasta based meals.
