(no subject)

Another busy but happy couple of days at work. I'm getting more confident with VB all the time. The side effect of this is that they have decided that I should take over one of the bigger bits of the project from the guy in charge because he doesn't have enough development time! I felt really flattered :) I think that it's going to be as much of a struggle to work out what needs to happen as how to make it happen for some parts of it but still, I'm going to be doing really important stuff :)

I'm suddenly listening to a lot of chilled out stuff plus classical at work. This probably tells us something profound about environment and stuff - I was listening mostly to Kylie, Puretones etc in my last month or so at DrKW - but I'm damned if I know what. If only I knew a qualified psychologist....

Went to see Spiderman last night and it definitely wasn't as good as I was hoping. I preferred both Minority Report and the X-men. I think mostly what bugged me was that MJ was such a complete wuss the whole way through the movie - there weren't really any strong female characters at all. Perhaps it's just that there weren't any *interesting* female characters - after all, Agatha (Minority Report) isn't strong exactly, but she is interesting. I don't know. Anyway I did find myself thinking that I probably wouldn't bother to watch a sequel whereas I'm quite looking forward to X-men 2.
