Alex is off to Glastonbury today - bless his little heart. He's all excited and I feel rather motherly somehow, telling him to be careful and try to eat properly :) I'm glad I'm not going - I don't even like clubs when they get full so I'm thinking that the crowds there would be too much. I'm only tiny you know - but he'll enjoy it and with any luck he'll remember to bring me back some Oxfam fudge :)

In typical fashion, my TV has gone just as Wimbledon starts! I watched about an hour and a half yesterday before it just cut out - I was still getting schedule info but no signal at all. I assumed it was them - after all, nothing had changed my end and the dish was still there and looking fine but Alex tells me that it still wasn't back this morning so I guess it might be me after all. I may try the time honoured solution of unplugging everything and then plugging it back in (their support people have suggested this in the past) and see if that helps. Unfortunately, what with going punting this evening and then probably on to the pub I won't have time to sit on hold on the support phone line tonight. I guess if that doesn't work I can always email in a request. I did watch a couple of good games yesterday though although things won't really get going til later in the week when the seeds start to meet up. You do manage to get a few testing matches in the early stages though - Rubin vs Svenssen in the ladies was really enjoyable until it cut off - apparently Rubin won comfortably in the end (6-3,6-2).

.NET

More to do today. Did a bit of form design in VB.NET which seems fairly easy. I have a feeling that the hard bit will be to link it to the back end though - that's not ready yet so I can't fiddle with it. Then a rather frustrating time this afternoon fiddling with ASP.NET trying to create my worklog. Unfortunately, it's different enough from ASP that I don't really get it at all - it's very odd. What I really need is a book but I can't seem to see one here. I wonder if there's an O'Reilly for it yet (a quick google tells me that yes there is). I'm still loving just being here though. When I woke up this morning it felt like a weekend - Alex had stayed over, I wasn't in a rush to get up, I had time to shower, do my hair (rather than doing that the night before I hasten to add) and make sandwiches and I wasn't tired. It was no effort :) And I got to go out to lunch and wander round the Covered Market with Jez and Dez :)
