(no subject)

I love having my parents over - I find it really relaxing (it's that sort of statement which gets me odd looks from Alex). I bunked off early from work on Friday afternoon to make sure that I made it home before them which I managed. Then it was off out to Pierre Victoires for dinner which was gorgeous (steak not as good as last time but still pretty fine) - booked before I'd heard about the job but now an appropriate celebratory meal. Saturday Steve and Amy made it over on the train for a day trip so we did lunch at Cocos, a bit of shopping and browsed round the Pitt Rivers museam, which is great. I finally made it up into the higher galleries and saw some C15 tarot cards on display which was pretty cool. After sending them home all Mum and I had the energy for was Inspector Morse. Sunday morning Dad helped me take Cassie to the vet (last lot of injections for a year) and then we were off to B&Q - yes, I'm soooo middle class. Compost, shrubs and spade aquired it was back to the garden and we took out nearly all of the ginourmous formium/elder which had taken over a whole border (and the whole other side of the fence!) as well as planting a bit in the tubs and mowing the lawn. So now I have a whole border to fill with stuff :) Now I need to hire a skip for the day to get rid of all the rubbish though! If only it wasn't Comics 2002 next weekend - I could get loads done in 4 days. It'd be just like Ground Force :)
