Well, I'm having holiday and so of course my journal has gone quiet. I need always on internet access at home. Well, actually I don't, but I do want it :)
I've got my final set of Microsoft exams next Wednesday and I'm getting a bit nervous about it. I *think* I'll pass them, but I'm not certain and I really want to - then I can go round to Champion and start them off looking for a new job for me and the sooner I do that, the sooner I can leave work. So the purpose of this time off is partly so that I can concentrate on revision. Which I am doing at least a bit. I've done a practice exam every day and I'm going over the reading but I'm still stressed about it. Unfortunately, this is making me a bit fragile and snappy which is not very nice for Alex but it won't be too long now.
I am enjoying the time off though - the sun has been lovely. I went out and did some pruning on Thursday and I'm going to do some weed killing on my lawn so that I can put some grass seed on it. I've got loads of ideas for the garden but I can't really manage a lot of it without a bit of help - the main thrust would be to take the big conifer which shades everything else out but even if I could cut it down on my own I couldn't get it out to a rubbish tip without the car. I might get my parents to help me with it when they next come down. They'll be starting to avoid visiting here soon - I've always got something to do. I've been watching the Ground Force back to back on satellite - I've told Alex what to tell Alan I want, so now I just have to wait :)
