In my case, I generally wait a decade for such procedures to age ... gives me a far better idea of how people do long-term.
I don't mind giving up all my glasses really, but I don't particularly want to have massive visual degeneration by age 40 either... (or sooner, if all my monitor-viewing has any impact as it should)
Besides, with my caving, I think I need my darkness vision as much as possible, something I understand is lost/degraded by this procedure, yes?
