(no subject)

Decided I owed it to Mike (my direct boss) to tell him that I was planning to leave. I explained that I found the commute too much and he said that he understood and it was a shame about the working from home thing (upper management eh?). I felt really nervous about doing it but decided that I trusted him not to do anything mean and it'll help him with his planning and so on. Feel better now.

Good to get things out in the open, it is a shame about the working from home. It's mostly about money, it's really quite expensive to kit people out with laptop, ADSL/ISDN etc when they've already got a desk.

Yeah, I managed to time things the worst possible way, cos when I originally spoke to Mike about it he thought it would be fine, but by the time I had actually moved they'd gone money obsesive and you couldn't get anything signed off unless the bank would actually collapse without it! So it goes...
